Developing Production Quality SQL Code
Paul Nielsen, SQL Server MVP, Author and Founder Ministry Weaver Software Ministry Weaver Software
Most of the training we have received as SQL Server professionals has code developed for the purpose of demoing or providing training for a specific feature. I’ve developed my share of demo code. This session is different. I’ll quickly demo my application (so you can get a sense of what it does), and then walk through many key portions of the actual T-SQL code showing you how the techniques I’ve used to make it production worthy with a focus on security and performance.
About Paul :
Paul Nielsen has been a SQL Server MVP since 2004, and he has spoken at numerous SQL Server events. He’s the author of the SQL Server Bible series (2000, 2005, and 2008) and the SQL Server MVP Deep Dive books were his original idea. But, for the past four years he’s transitioned to startup software company founder, and spends about half of his time writing SQL code. Paul lives in Colorado, but visits his family in El Paso two to three times a year.
